Parents Advisory Board

The Parents Advisory Board (PAB) was established as part of the Early Childhood Education Center Charter. The PAB’s mission is to support our children's education by working with teachers, creating community building activities and funding additional enrichment activities. PAB members are parents, teachers and administrators who meet monthly to plan events and share ideas about how we can achieve our goals.

We encourage all parents and family members of children attending ECEC to participate in our monthly meetings and/or volunteer for events at the school. Join us!

The PAB coordinates and sponsors events like:

  • Fall Social
  • Running Grunion Native American Storyteller
  • Rhythm Child
  • Lunar New Year Celebrations
  • Legoland
  • Teacher Appreciation Week
  • Insect Lore
  • UC San Diego student group performances (e.g., Triton Ohana Ukulele)
  • Irish Dancers
  • Bubble Mania
  • Fundraisers
    • Book Fair
    • Box Tops
    • Restaurant Nights (e.g., Chipotle, Rubio’s)
    • See's Candy

How to Get Involved

  • Attend monthly meetings to share your ideas. We embrace our diversity and value everyone's feedback about our activities. We usually meet the second Thursday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in the Mesa Conference Room. 
  • Volunteer at events. We are able to do what we do only with the help of great volunteers like you.
